		<description>@Joshua Auriemma, My eye fell RIGHT on it, naturally, because I did History at undergrad.  The graphic hits a bit close to home, as I had a spell of soul-crushing unemployment for a while--but there was also a fair amount of thesis-related burnout, plus associated self-doubt regarding my suitability for full-time academia. 

So if I had to address myself to the graphic-maker, I&#039;d say:  There&#039;s nothing wrong with being an Historian, say, and I&#039;d gladly recommend the field to any aspiring undergraduate--but only after I made them understand that it is exceedingly difficult to make it a full-time gig unless you are both unusually dedicated and tremendously gifted.</description>
