Announcing Lawhackr

Submitted by Joshua Auriemma on Tuesday, 22 December 20092 Comments

lawhackr-shotIt occurred to me the other day that when other law students and lawyers are talking with me, they’re significantly more interested in my take on tech-related stuff than anything else (my clearly genius legal interpretation, for instance).   I figured it was about time I develop a blog specifically geared towards introducing the legal profession to tech, gadgetry, and generally getting in touch with the 21st Century.  Enter lawhackr.

Hopefully there’s something for everyone there.  How-to articles will be written in such a way that anyone should be able to follow the instructions (even those not particularly tech-savvy).  Tech-minded people may be more interested in general tech news, reviews, “hacks” (meaning making something work in a useful way, in a manner not originally intended), and introductions to software that may be beneficial to the legal community.  Either way, check out lawhackr, and if you like what you see, please add the RSS and help spread the word if you can.

Here are the current lawhackr articles:

Assuming that people are interested in the site, there will be much more material on the way.

And don’t worry — general legal-interest stuff and the Legal Geekery Podcast will still be updated regularly here at Legal Geekery.

Let us know what you think of the new site!
